Dr. Ruyi Zhou is a Principal Investigator at the Jinhua Institute of Zhejiang University. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2021. From 2021 to 2024, she was a postdoctoral researcher in Professor Zhen Gu's group at Zhejiang University. Dr. Zhou’s research focuses on smart drug–device combinations and advanced drug-delivery systems, including implantable and transdermal devices, bioresponsive formulations, and nanobiomaterials. Her work is application-oriented and motivated by clinical needs in postoperative adjuvant therapy, cancer immunotherapy, and protection against radiation-induced injury. Dr. Zhou has published more than 30 research papers in journals including Science Translational Medicine and Advanced Materials. She has also filed three Chinese invention patent applications, one of which has been granted and transferred.
